FROM LONG TIME RIDDIM produced by KARIANG RECORDS 1997
From Long Time Overview
The reggae track base for this project came together in the studio with a strong focus on roots music. The musicians built a solid foundation using live instruments and classic reggae rhythms. The arranger made sure every part fit together smoothly, letting each artist’s voice shine without losing the deep reggae feeling. KARIANG RECORDS produced the riddim. This label started in the 1990s in Jamaica and is known for working with top reggae and dancehall artists. KARIANG RECORDS helped push reggae forward in the late 1990s, releasing several popular riddims and singles. Each artist brought something special. Jah Mason is well known in reggae for his energetic style and has released many albums over the years. Johnny Lover’s "Jah Station & Dub" has a classic roots sound, taking listeners back to the basics of reggae. Kulcha Knox gives us "Mama Warrior," a song that shows his strong roots influence. Sizzla’s track "From Long Time" is another highlight. Sizzla is one of reggae’s most respected artists, and his album "Black Woman & Child" is famous worldwide.
