FOOT PRINT RIDDIM produced by ELITE ENT. SOCIETY 2015
Foot Print Overview
In 2015, the Foot Print Riddim showed how reggae music could respect its roots and still sound fresh. The music arranger behind this riddim used the classic one drop rhythm, which is a heartbeat of reggae. This style keeps the music close to its roots, but the arranger also added new touches, making the riddim feel modern. The producer for this project was ELITE ENT. SOCIETY. This label is known for supporting conscious reggae and has worked with several respected artists. By 2015, ELITE ENT. SOCIETY had built a name for itself in the reggae community for releasing music with strong social messages. On this riddim, some of reggae’s most thoughtful voices came together. Anthony B brought his song “Lion Can'T Be Conquer.” Anthony B is famous for his powerful lyrics and has released albums like “Universal Struggle” and “Untouchable.” His music often talks about justice and strength, and “Lion Can'T Be Conquer” fits right in. Bugle, another respected artist, delivered “Mount Zion.” Bugle is known for songs like “Rasta Party” and has worked with artists such as Tarrus Riley. His style is calm but always has a message. Bushy’s “Don'T Buss No Gun” stands out with its call for peace. Mirrow Idiallo added “Empress Love,” bringing a softer, uplifting sound to the riddim. Natural Fyah’s “It'S I” and Tydal’s “Tell You A Lie” also carry strong messages, each with their own style.
