Fondness Riddim lands in that mid-2010s dancehall pocket where the production leans clean and melodic rather than overly aggressive, with Show Di Vybz giving the set a bright, lover’s-rock-tinged edge that suits the clean-and-raw pairings from Chilando and Destiny Sparta. The strongest moments come from the bigger names sitting beside them: Gappy Ranks’ “Your Own” brings a more seasoned tone, while Teejay’s “My Love” and Stack Dan’s “Dem A Chat” keep the riddim rooted in straight dancehall rather than drifting too soft.
