FLAMINGO RIDDIM (SOCA) – SHERIFF MUSIC & MR RENZO MUSIC 2015
Flamingo Overview
It started with a simple island beat, built by the arranger who knows how to bring the Caribbean sound to life. The beat was made for dancing, with bright drums and a melody that makes you think of blue water and sandy beaches. The arranger put all the right pieces together, making sure the rhythm would hit hard in the fetes and keep people moving. From there, the music went into the hands of the artists. Fadda Moses stepped up first with "Ay Ya Ya," bringing his energy and style. Mr Killa, well known for his massive hit "Rolly Polly," added his own fire with the song "Senorita." Mr Renzo, who once teamed up with Shurwayne Winchester for the popular track "Soca Rocketship," came in strong with "Loca." Each artist brought something different, but they all kept the island vibe alive. Sheriff Music and Mr Renzo Music worked together on the main track, "Flamingo Riddim." Their work made sure the whole project sounded smooth and tight, perfect for Carnival or any party. When the riddim dropped in 2015, it went straight into the heart of soca season. The songs played everywhere, from the big stages to the small street parties. Even now, when people want to remember those Carnival nights, the Flamingo Riddim still gets played. The beat that started on the island found its way into the world, and it still brings people together.
