Bar code energy. Sheriff Music’s 2012 soca set moves like Carnival road business, pulling together Bunji Garlin, Konshens, Problem Child, Serani and Skinny Fabulous on a compact nine-track run that keeps the tempo bright and the hooks built for fetes. The production sits in that slick, driving Trinidad-and-Barbados lane, with the title cut tucked in among sing-along pieces like “Alcohol, ” “Show Meh” and “Brace And Whine, ” while “Beat It Up” leans a little harder and the whole thing stays geared toward motion rather than polish.
