By 2011, OneShot Production had this one sitting right in the middle of a busy run of dancehall juggling, and Fall Riddim feels tailored for the sound-system side of the genre: brisk, wiry, and bouncing on a sharp digital pulse rather than any heavy melodic gloss. The lineup isn’t huge, but it’s well chosen, with Future Fambo and Showtime Damion linking up on “Where I’M From, ” Juvazzi cutting through on “Sneaky Boo, ” and Navino’s “Wine” pushing the groove a little harder. There’s just enough variation in the vocals to keep the riddim moving without losing its bite, and Showtime Damion returns later with “Cut It Off, ” one of the cuts that keeps the set rooted in straight dancehall attitude. The instrumental closes it out cleanly, leaving the Fall Riddim to carry the whole thing on its own.
