2019 was a fertile year for dancehall riddims, and Experimental Riddim lands in that moment with a sharp, synthetic feel that leans more sci-fi than street-corner bashment. JVL Production keeps the rhythm lean and metallic, with enough low-end pressure to carry the vocal cuts without crowding them, so the project moves like a compact showcase rather than a sprawling compilation. Elvys Futur turns up twice, first on “DJ Pousser La Bass” and later on “Multi Sonore, ” while Straika’s “Hot Machine” and WYCKYDJ’s “Nouvo Science” give the set some of its most vivid moments. The closing “JVL Prod – Megamix Experimental Riddim” ties the whole thing together by folding the various ideas back into the instrumental itself.
