EL DORADO RIDDIM produced by STUDIO B PRODUCTION 2014
El Dorado Overview
The carnival jam riddim started as an idea in the studio of STUDIO B PRODUCTION. Known for their work in Trinidad’s vibrant soca scene, STUDIO B PRODUCTION has helped shape the sound of Carnival for years. Their productions have been played at major Caribbean festivals, and they are recognized for their crisp, energetic style. As the riddim came together, the goal was to create something that would keep masqueraders moving all day. The beat was designed to be powerful and sweet, perfect for the road. Once the instrumental was ready, STUDIO B PRODUCTION invited some of the most exciting voices in soca to record on it. Fay — Ann Lyons brought her song "Whine Nah Boy" to the riddim. Fay — Ann Lyons is well known for her hit "Display" and for winning the International Soca Monarch title three times, making her one of Trinidad’s top soca artists. Revelation added "What A Wine," giving the riddim a playful, party feel. Squeezy Rankin’s track "Ballers" brought a different energy, as he is respected for his unique voice and catchy hooks. Swappi joined with "Dont Let Go," adding his own flavor. Swappi is remembered for his 2012 hit "Bubble on a DJ," which topped charts during that Carnival season. After its 2014 release, the carnival jam riddim quickly became a favorite at parties and parades. The songs filled the air as masqueraders danced through the streets. Today, the riddim still gets play during Carnival flashbacks, reminding everyone of the energy and joy it brought to the festival.
