Baby Cham’s take on the Dugu Dugu Riddim brings a lean seven-cut dancehall set that nods to the old Madhouse/Xtra Large name in the title’s history while updating it with a 2017 bounce. Beenie Man’s “New Suzuki” and Wayne Wonder’s “Glamour Girl” give the rhythm its most familiar hooks, while General Degree, Frisco Kid and Stranger keep the energy playful and streetwise. Cham closes it out on “More Wood, ” which feels like the producer claiming his own space in the mix rather than just curating from the sidelines.
