Draw We Out Riddim – Jive

Six cuts, seven names, and a fairly tight 2008 Dancehall package: the Draw We Out Riddim keeps the focus on the voices without overloading the listener. Jive’s production sits in that mid-2000s dancehall pocket, with a lean, nagging pulse and enough space for the deejays to ride the groove cleanly. The Alliance and Scare Dem Crew’s “Draw We Out” appears in both clean and raw versions, which gives the set its centre of gravity, while Wayne Marshall’s “Jah Jah Please” adds a more reflective note and Huey’s pairings with Memphitz and R.
