Daylight Riddim (2025) – Epik Music

Epik Music’s Daylight Riddim arrived on February 28, 2025, as a seven-song Dancehall set released through Epik Music Group. The project carries Epik Jones’ name, and the line-up already tells you the lane it wants: a mix of heavyweight voices and newer street-facing cuts that can travel from radio to dance.

The riddim has a clean, bouncy midtempo feel, with bright percussion and a steady forward drive that leaves space for the deejays to work the pocket. It is the kind of rhythm that can hold a catchy party hook just as easily as a sharper, more boastful verse. Spice’s Cool It brings veteran command and instant personality, while Shatta Wale’s Dancehall Girl and the remix with Lisa Mercedez, Ishawna and Jah Fabio push the project into a cross-Caribbean, cross-market space. Xyclone and Konshens on Meck It Clap Remix give the set extra movement, and the original Meck It Clap keeps that same dance-floor energy in a more direct form.

Ishawna’s 10 Lb adds her usual mix of sly confidence and sexual charge, which suits a riddim like this perfectly.
