D and H Records leans a little more cosmopolitan than the usual straight-up yard-style dancehall set here, and that gives Da Body Deh Riddim its own flavor: French and Caribbean voices rubbing shoulders over a brisk, body-moving cut that sits around 95 BPM. Konshens’ “Da Body Deh” is the obvious pull, all cheek and forward motion, while Kalado’s “Moment” and Tairo’s “Loin D’Ici” push the riddim in a smoother, more melodic direction without losing the bounce. Tiwony, Krys and Red Eye Crew add even more variety, so the project never feels locked into one accent or one pocket for too long. It landed on June 13, 2017, as a 15-track release, which makes it feel like one of those summer-season compilations built to travel well beyond Jamaica.
