Hey Man Entertainment’s Cyber World Riddim sits in that 2016 roots-reggae run where the label was pushing a compact four-song set with a proper dubwise feel. Michael “Que” Nugent, who had already done engineering and production work with names like Sizzla and Lt. Stitchie, returned with a small but neatly cut compilation led by Omar Perry, Karamanti, Tasha T and Blessed. The writing leans conscious throughout, with Karamanti’s “Natty Nah Grow” and Omar Perry’s “Tired Ah Dem” giving the set its sharpest edge. Nothing here tries to crowd the mix; the riddim stays patient and uncluttered, letting the vocals ride over a restrained bassline and a clean, mid-tempo pulse that keeps the whole thing moving in a straight line.
