Mid-October 2021 found Royal Records in straight Zimdancehall mode, lining up Black Spider, Hwindi President, Silent Killer, Kadjah and a full cast of voices over the Crystal Beeds riddim. The set keeps its focus on local street energy rather than crossover polish, with the vocals riding a clipped, looping pattern that leaves plenty of room for the bass to do the heavy lifting. Kadjah’s “Mhere Kurira” and Silent Killer’s “Handikumbire Vanhu” feel especially sharp in that setting, while Hwindi President’s “Musoro Bhangu” leans into the same tight cadence with a more conversational delivery. It’s the kind of production that gets by on momentum: lean drums, a hard step, and a low-end pulse that stays front and centre.
