Vendetta Records was already leaning into the rough-edged 2003 dancehall pressure cooker with Cool Face Riddim, a six-cut set that keeps the spotlight on frontline singjays and deejays rather than overcrowding the rhythm. Lady Saw comes in sharp with “Gal Want Chrome, ” Sizzla takes a more reflective turn on “All Is Well, ” and Tok’s “Sayonara” adds a lighter, chatter-ready swing to the selection. The set also keeps a nice balance between solo cuts and crew energy, with Vybz Kartel linking with Tony Curtis for “Jiggy” and Ward 21 closing the circle with “Promises. ” It’s the kind of compact riddim where the voices do the heavy lifting, and Ward 21’s cut leaves the strongest final stamp.
