2003 dancehall’s Clappas Riddim came out on Greensleeves Records as part of the label’s rhythm album series, pairing the catchy clapping-driven instrumental with a strong mix of voices from Cecile, Danny English and Egg Nog, Delly Ranks, Determine, Frisco Kid, Harry Toddler, Irish Man, Jugwa, Mad Anju, Merciless, and Ninja Man. Cecile’s Honey, Delly Ranks’ Brain Food, and Ninja Man’s Capital P give the set some of its sharpest moments, while the instrumental version keeps the rhythm front and center.
