Claims Riddim comes from Claims Records and Shotty Shane Production, the imprint of Orlando “Shotty Shane” Chance, who has described his work as trying to be different and has already taken his first production steps through dancehall projects that push beyond a straight one-drop formula. This one landed in 2021 and sits squarely in the harder, modern dancehall lane.

The riddim itself has a sharp, kinetic swing rather than a heavy, meditative pulse. It leaves space for slick patter and gun-talk bravado, but it also has enough bounce to carry flirtation and swagger.
