Caribbean Dream lands as a mid-2000s dancehall slice with a distinctly West Indian party pulse, pulling a mixed cast into one riddim and keeping the focus on feel as much as song count. Claudette Peters opens it with the bright, teasing “Flaunt It, ” while Flexx’s “Yah Move” and Fucha Kid’s “Sexy Body Girls” lean harder into the dancefloor side of the project. There’s a little more variety in the middle too, from Diamond Cut’s relationship-minded “Where’s The Love We Used To Know” to Shamobe’s sharper turn on “Got To Go, ” which keeps the set from settling into one mood for too long. But the cut that hangs on last is T. O. K’s “Slow Wine, ” a sly, polished closer that gives the riddim its clearest hook and the strongest final pull.
