Buggering Riddim is a 1993 dancehall release produced by African Star, pairing 11 cuts from a tight lineup led by Capleton, Junior Reid, Captain Barkey, General B, Roundhead, and Wickerman. Capleton turns up twice with Buggering and Prepare Fi Die, while Junior Reid’s Inna De Dance and Roundhead’s You Hot Again add some of the set’s most memorable moments. The project is tied to African Star’s Toronto-based operation under Stewart Brown, who helped launch Capleton early in his career, and it captures that raw, early-90s digital dancehall energy with a heavy focus on gunman talk, confrontation, and sound system-ready chants.
