The riddim was produced by REAL PEOPLE MUSIC, a label known for supporting conscious reggae and giving new and established artists a platform. REAL PEOPLE MUSIC has previously worked with artists like Lutan Fyah and is respected for its authentic sound. A key part of the Buff Baff Riddim’s impact comes from the dub engineering. Umberto Echo, a well-known dub engineer from Germany, handled the mixing and brought out the heavy basslines and clean vocal harmonies. His track, Umberto Echo — Buff Baff Dub, highlights his skill in blending classic reggae elements with modern clarity. The recording process focused on capturing live instruments and real vocal takes, which helped the riddim keep its organic feel. Duane Stephenson & Lutan Fyah’s “Empress Sativa” is a standout, with both artists bringing their signature voices.
