Brick By Brick Riddim – Dublife Muzik

2015 was a year when plenty of producers were looking back to classic roots patterns, and Dublife Muzik’s Brick By Brick Riddim fits that mood with a vintage-minded reggae cut that leans on steady drums, warm bass and a hands-on, old-school feel. P-Dub’s title tune with Mikey Jarrett sets the tone, while Roy Radics and Soundboy take a more reflective turn on Whatever Happened To One Love, and Rupert Reid’s Violence No Pay pushes the message harder without breaking the riddim’s measured pulse. Rocksteady Levi’s Everyday People keeps the project anchored in conscious territory, and the two Predator Dub Assassins versions, Brick Mason and Bricklayer Dub, give the set a clean instrumental finish. Produced by P-Dub for Dublife Muzik and released on April 28, 2015, the EP runs six tracks in total.
