Brassgates Riddim was produced by Vibes House in 1996 and carries a tight seven-track reggae line-up with Little Kirk, Silver Cat, Ras Shiloh, Raymond Wright, Frisco Kid featuring Shara-Lee, and Anthony Red Roze. The cut list runs from Little Kirk’s Sing A Song and Silver Cat’s Israel to Frisco Kid’s Ready Or Not, with a Brass Gates version from Sly Dunbar and Marsden closing things out. It’s a compact rootsy dancehall set, and Ras Shiloh’s title track gives the rhythm a deeper, more conscious edge.
