Bomb Drop Riddim – Head Concussion

Bomb Drop Riddim is a 2009 reggae juggling produced by Russian, better known through Head Concussion, and it pulls together Gyptian, I-Octane, Mia J, Nicky B, Ras Penco and Vybz Kartel on a smooth one-drop. Gyptian turns up twice with Better Day and Love To Give, while I-Octane’s This Is Real (Pressure) and Kartel’s Marie are two of the most notable cuts here. The release later surfaced in 2010 through Head Concussion / 21st Hapilos Digital, but the riddim itself is rooted in that 2009 production run. It’s a compact set with seven vocal versions plus the instrumental, and it captures the early Russian/Head Concussion sound that helped define that period of modern reggae.
