Blue Moon Riddim – Taino Entertainment

There’s a cool nocturnal pull to this one: a crisp 2019 dancehall riddim with just enough space in the cut for the vocals to ride the groove without crowding it. Taino Entertainment keeps the arrangement lean, and that leaves Beres Brown and Jah Tee’s “Anyweh” feeling especially tight, with Jahvillani’s “Higher Than The Moon” bringing the most immediate hook in the set. Navino’s “Everything” sits nicely in that same pocket, giving the riddim a tougher edge without breaking its smooth, late-night feel. It’s a short six-track run, but the radio/raw pairings and the lone I Warrior cut make it feel like someone knew exactly how much to leave out.
