Blockchain Riddim – Stampede Musicja

Blockchain Riddim comes in with a sharp, percussive pulse and that clipped, digital feel the title suggests, but it still leaves plenty of room for melody and singjay swagger. Stampede Musicja lines up veterans and younger voices across the eight-track set, with Anthony B’s “Straight Weed” and Jah Mason’s “So Many Miles” bringing the roots side of the cut, while Nitty Kutchie and Danny English and Egg Nog keep it firmly in dancehall territory. Jahvante Campbell’s “Tonight” adds a smoother late-night edge, and Rally Bop linking with Christopher Singry on “Party On” gives the project one of its brighter hook moments. Released in August 2021, this one sits neatly in that period when producers were leaning into lean, futuristic riddims but still keeping the dancehall bounce front and center.
