BIG BAND RIDDIM produced by GRAVI-T 2006
Big Band Overview
When this dancehall collection dropped in 2006, fans were quick to feel the energy. The riddim brought out that raw, street sound selectors loved, and parties across Jamaica and beyond kept it spinning. People still talk about how the tracks blended together but let each artist shine. Aidonia, Leftside And Esco teamed up for "Lets Roll," a tune that showed why Aidonia’s fast lyrics and Leftside’s production skills were in demand. Big Band delivered "Version," giving listeners the pure riddim to enjoy. Daniella’s "Dem Cyaan Wear" added a fresh female voice, while Degree’s "Popstyle" kept things lively—Degree is well known for his hit single "Traffic Blocking," which made waves in the early 2000s. Kiprich & Black joined forces for "Er - Wine," giving fans a playful, dance-ready vibe. Lady Saw brought her unmistakable style with "Mi Ready." Macka Diamond, who later won the International Reggae and World Music Award for Best Female DJ/Rapper, dropped "Cash Inna Bungle." Madd Anju’s "U Nuh Ticky Ticky," Monster Twins with "Cyaan Bear It," and TOK’s "Work U" rounded out the set with strong performances. The whole riddim came together under the touch of GRAVI-T, who mixed and produced it for Big Yard Music Group. GRAVI-T has worked with several big names in the industry and is known for shaping some of the mid-2000s dancehall sound. Even now, this collection stands out for its raw energy and top talent.
