Better Life Riddim – Parish Records

Hailing from Parish Records in April 2019, Better Life Riddim is a tight five-song dancehall set that keeps the focus on the songwriters more than on any studio theatrics. The strongest pull comes from the family thread in the lineup: Anthony Malvo’s “General” sits naturally beside Tiffanie Malvo’s “Side Chick Alarm, ” while Vanzo’s “Moves A Mek” gets both the regular cut and a raw version, which gives the riddim a little extra personality. Librawto’s title track adds a more hopeful note to the mix, and the whole thing moves with that sturdy, midtempo bounce that leaves space for the vocals to do the talking. It runs just 13 minutes, though.
