In 2019, when jab soca was still feeding the road with lean, percussive burners, Bandit Jab Riddim landed as a tight three-song set from Adigun and Saltysoundz. Mr Killa’s “Leggo De Jab” leads the charge with the kind of blunt, chant-heavy delivery that suits the cut-and-dry groove, while Madman Pantha’s “Vulgar” keeps the energy rude and immediate. Shireen B’s “Bend Right Ova, ” with Madman Pantha in tow, gives the project its sharpest carnival push, leaning into call-and-response phrasing without losing the attack.
