Ballistic Affair Overview
In 2019, a group of reggae musicians and producers gathered in the studio to work on a new rhythm project. The goal was to bring back the classic roots reggae sound, with deep bass and uplifting messages. The arranger took special care to keep the music true to its roots, using live instruments and focusing on smooth vocal harmonies. The project was led by HEARTICAL LABEL, a well-known reggae label based in France. HEARTICAL LABEL has a strong reputation for releasing roots and revival reggae, and their projects often feature both legendary and new artists. Over the years, they have worked with many respected names in reggae, helping to keep the roots sound alive for new generations. Several talented artists joined the project. Intro teamed up with Lone Ranger & Carlton Livingston to deliver a powerful track. Carlton Livingston, famous for his song “Rasta Corner,” brought his signature style and deep voice to the mix. Trevor Junior, known for “Give me some more,” added his soulful touch. Skarra Mucci, who has built an international following, contributed with “Thieves and liars,” showing his energetic style. Rootsamala shared “The joy of life,” bringing a positive message and warm melodies. Each artist brought something special, and together they created a rhythm that roots reggae fans still talk about today. The 2019 project stands out for its conscious lyrics, strong production, and the way it brought different voices together on one classic reggae beat.
