Badman Riddim arrived in 2020 from Yush Records, a five-track reggae set built around a tense, streetwise groove and a compact lineup that keeps the focus tight. Junior Chin and Top Dawg’s Rude Boy Garn Ah Jail leads the charge, with Nickki Dread’s Paradise, Gary Minnot’s Crime Ah Fight Crime, Teleskope’s Badman Train, and Chazzlyn’s Give Thanks rounding out the EP. Released on July 30, 2020, the project is credited to Anthony Mcdonald and runs just about 20 minutes, which suits the lean, no-frills feel of the production. The mix of tougher badman themes and a closing note of gratitude gives the riddim its identity, balancing warning, reflection, and a touch of uplift.
