ATARIQ RIDDIM produced by KINKY MUSIC 2007
Atariq Overview
In 2007, a new reggae track base was created during the roots sessions in the studio. The sound architect behind this project wanted to blend classic reggae elements with a fresh, street-inspired feel. The direction was clear: keep the roots strong, but add new energy. The producer, KINKY MUSIC, played a key role. Known for pushing creative boundaries in reggae, KINKY MUSIC has worked with several rising and established artists. The label has a reputation for high-quality riddim productions, helping to shape the sound of modern reggae in the late 2000s. Several well-known artists added their voices to this track base. Capleton, with his song "Longest Time," brought his signature fiery delivery. Capleton is famous for hits like "Jah Jah City" and is respected for his powerful stage presence and conscious lyrics. Fantan Mojah contributed "Unity." He is known for his uplifting messages and his breakthrough song "Hail The King" from the album of the same name, which made a strong impact in reggae circles. Maljah’s "Shout Out" added another layer to the riddim, giving it a fresh voice. Mykal Rose, a Grammy-winning artist and former lead singer of Black Uhuru, completed the lineup with "World Is In Trouble." Rose is celebrated for his unique vocal style and international hits. Together, these artists and KINKY MUSIC created a memorable reggae experience in 2007.
