2021 was a busy year for lean, cut-and-dry dancehall projects, and Asian Panty Riddim sat right in that wave with just four cuts and a sharp, joke-heavy concept from Supahype Music. The set keeps its focus on Busy Signal’s “Gyal Hot (Raw), ” Caano’s “Chinese Ninja (Raw), ” Laa Lee and Supahype’s “Chun Lee, ” and Savage Savo’s “Lamp Oil (Raw), ” with the martial-arts title scheme giving the whole thing a cheeky, almost cartoonish edge without losing the street feel. The production sits in that mid-tempo, digital dancehall pocket, with a tight snare, sparse melodic accents, and a bassline that stays punchy rather than overly busy. Laa Lee and Busy Signal are the names that anchor it, but the riddim’s real pull is the clean, clipped rhythm pattern and the way the vocals ride over it.
