Ghost
Carlton Hylton was born in Kingston Jamaica and at the early age of 3 he had started performing on street corners for the people of Matches Lane. His earliest inspirations were from the superstar Michael Jackson and the legend Bob Marley. In 1989 he recorded his first tune alongside DJ CultureĀ titled ” Commercial Time” for producer Patrick Livingston. After that he released his first solo recording “Killing Me Softly” for Patrick Roberts on the Punany Riddim. In 1991, Hylton recorded big hits like “Do You Remember” and “Something Inside So Strong” for Shocking Vibes . He also released the hit “Here I Am” for Colin Fatta and “Oh Carol” for Digital B on the Stalag Riddim. In 1992, Hylton got the opportunity to tour with the famous DJ, Shabba Ranks. Later that year, he recorded “God Is Truly Amazing” with Beenie Man. He worked closely with Roundhead and General B and together they formed the Monster Shack Crew. The group released an album in 1998 titled “Monster Party”. The group was later renamed to Monster Empire. In 2020, Hylton released the Christian worship song “Humbly Before Thee” under the Ghetto Youths International Label.
