Action Riddim – Jam 2 Productions

Jam 2’s Action Riddim leans hard into raw, chest-thumping dancehall, the kind of drop that leaves plenty of room for attitude, chopped-up hooks and strutting one-drop-to-digi energy. The lineup keeps the pressure on without turning one-note: Ishawna’s “Real Hot Gal” cuts through with plenty of sass, Khago’s “Board Room” pushes the set into sharper lyrical territory, and Kiprich’s “Ready” gives the riddim one of its neatest forward-driving turns. There’s also a useful spread of voices around them, from Keida and Lisa Hyper to Kid Kurupt, Patexx and Wayne Marshall, which keeps the project moving like a proper 2011 juggling rather than a stacked one-off. But the tune that leaves the cleanest imprint is Wayne Marshall’s “Fresh, ” a slick closer that snaps the whole rhythm into focus.
