New Era Riddim (2011) – Young Vibez Production

Vybz Kartel gives New Era Riddim its sharpest edge, especially on “Come Ya Nuh Mi Gal, ” which arrives in both edit and raw versions and anchors a compact six-artist set that also pulls in Popcaan, Tommy Lee, Jahmiel and Blak Diamon. Young Vibez Production keeps the pace lean and speaker-friendly, with the whole thing moving around a mid-tempo dancehall swing that leaves room for each voice to cut through without crowding the rhythm. Tommy Lee’s “Reality Story” and Popcaan’s “We Nuh Fraid A Ppl” sit close enough to Kartel’s cut to make the sequencing feel deliberate, while Propa Fade’s “Out and Clean” adds a lighter turn in the middle. The project was issued in 2011 and totals seven tracks.
