Jab King’s “Whiz Kalifa” gives Old Slugger Riddim its sharpest hook, with Chyst’s “Wasteman” and the Hyena Jab and Sosa cut “Wi-Fi” carrying the kind of lively, jab-heavy soca energy that keeps the whole set moving. Impulse Productions keeps the package tight across five tracks, and the sequencing moves from Swipe’s “Upgrade” through to Saddiehd and Da Ceo’s “Like That” without any wasted space. Released in 2018, the riddim runs 14 minutes and was issued as a digital soca EP.
