In 2013, the dancehall scene got a fresh boost with the arrival of the Nylon Blend Riddim. The mastermind behind this project was WILETUNES, a producer known for his sharp ear and energetic beats. WILETUNES, who had already made a name with his label and a string of streaming hits, aimed to create a riddim that would stand out in the bashment world. The work began late at night in a Kingston studio, where the studio hand played a crucial role, helping to shape the sound with careful mixing and attention to detail. Deewunn brought his unique energy to "Crusher," while Ward 21 delivered not just one, but two standout tracks: "Bedroom Bubble" and "Waa Gwaan." Mr Lexx, a veteran with a sharp lyrical style, jumped on "Ben Ova," giving the riddim extra fire. Point O added his flavor with "Bubble Fi Mi Baby," and Kris Kelli turned up the heat on "Feel The Fire." Other voices joined in, each adding their own style. Marcy Chin’s "Do Yuh Dance" and Voicemail’s "She Have It" kept the vibes lively, while Kunley 21 closed things out with "Nylon Blend Riddim," showcasing the riddim’s raw energy.
