Two cuts make up Big Boa Riddim, which keeps this Koogah Sound project tight and lets each tune carry its own weight: Nello B’s “Babylon A Push” and the Mowgli and Propa combination on “Sensimilia Addict. ” The latter feels like the sharper hook in the set, riding a steppy, mid-tempo reggae pattern with enough low-end pressure to keep it moving, while Nello B leans into the harder edge of the rhythm with a more confrontational chant. Koogah Sound keeps the arrangement uncluttered, so the space around the vocals matters as much as the vocal lines themselves, and that sparseness gives the riddim room to breathe. Released in 2013, the Big Boa Riddim line-up is simple, but it gets the job done with just those two tracks.
