Breakheart Riddim – DJ Reverse Music

Breakheart Riddim comes in lean, with just five cuts and a couple of the voices doing most of the talking, which gives DJ Reverse Music’s 2006 dancehall set a tight, almost throwback feel. Cole and Gifta’s “Authenticit? ” has the most bite in the lineup, while Izahh’s “Chaque Fois” leans into a smoother, more melodic ride over the rhythm. DJ Reverse even folds in a version cut, which helps the project feel less like a loose compilation and more like a self-contained statement. Moudjahyz’s “Fout’ Mo Konten” adds another rough-edged touch, and Va’s “Interlude” keeps the whole thing moving without overloading it. It sits neatly in the 2006 dancehall lane, when compact riddim packages like this were still a proper part of the scene.
