12 Gauge Riddim – Vp Records

Produced by VP Records and issued as part of the Riddim Driven series, 12 Gauge Riddim arrived in 2006 and pulled together a tight dancehall lineup led by Vybz Kartel, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Busy Signal, and Delly Ranks. The set moves with a hard-edged, high-energy feel, opening the club-ready side of the riddim with Chino’s Inna Di Club and carrying through standout cuts like Kartel’s 12 Gage, Bounty Killer’s Alliance U Dis, and Busy Signal’s Inna Di War, with the instrumental version included at the end. VP later brought the compilation out in LP form through VP/H2O Productions, and the release shows the label’s knack for pairing big names with a focused one-riddim package.
