Rooted in Coxsone Dodd’s Studio One, Zion Higher Riddim dates from 1977 and pairs Burning Spear’s Zion Higher with Im and Dave’s Nite Ride, giving the rhythm a clean roots-era balance between militant vocal fire and a lighter, instrumental-side feel.
