Real Squad Records keeps the Yo Shaggy Riddim moving in a blunt, hard-edged dancehall lane, with six cuts that all run close to three minutes and keep the energy pressing forward. The project landed on June 28, 2024, and the tracklist is locked around Badda General, Delly Ranx, Fire Lion, Galaxy P, Spayde876, and Ganggoolie.

The label isn’t new to juggling either. Real Squad has already built a catalog around unapologetically rugged dancehall, including the 98 Was Great riddim from 2017, and Yo Shaggy sits neatly inside that same no-nonsense approach. The sound here is built for raw delivery rather than polish: sharp drum patterns, a heavy bashment pulse, and enough room for deejays to cut through with attitude and crowd-friendly hooks.

Galaxy P’s “Dung Suh” feels like one of the anchor pieces because it comes from an artist with a long history of melodic dancehall and crossover-ready patter, and he knows how to turn a riddim into a chant. Delly Ranx, one of the scene’s reliable veterans, brings the kind of seasoned voice that gives a juggling project extra weight. Badda General and Ganggoolie keep the pressure up on “Dancehall” and “Chain Saw, ” while Fire Lion and Spayde876 add fresher energy with “Zum Zy Again” and “Something Hard. ” It is the sort of release that wants selectors to run it loud and let each voice hit from a slightly different angle.
