Wurlie Riddim – Sipo Records

In 2021, when dancehall was leaning hard into sparse, street-ready one-riddim projects, Sipo Records dropped Wurlie with a tight 11-track run that keeps the focus on versioning and vocal contrast. The lineup pulls in Conkussion, Iyara, Jah Be, Nymron, Ras Bogle, Sahie, Sipo and Tipikcal, with the clean and raw pairs for “Badness Nuh Fi Everybody, ” “Money Time, ” and “Fakeset” giving the set a rougher, more selector-friendly shape. Iyara’s “Elevating” and Jah Be’s “Badness Nuh Fi Everybody” sit nicely in the middle of the pack, while Sipo leaving its own “Follow Mi Dream” in the sequence adds a producer-cut touch that feels deliberate rather than tacked on.
