Westend Sun Riddim comes in as a proper roots-conscious set, with Jah Youth Productions linking voices from Jamaica, Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago, Europe and the US across eleven cuts. Dada Yute’s “Rototom City” gives the project one of its sharper moments, nodding to the Rototom Sunsplash atmosphere, while Derajah, Jahmmi Youth and Rob Symeonn keep the spiritual side firmly in view with tunes like “Kings Of Kings, ” “Souljah Of Jah” and “Promises. ” The sequencing keeps the vocal runs moving without padding, and the release was also paired with a 2016 megamix that helped push the riddim beyond the album format. Kin Riddimz is credited alongside Jah Youth Productions on the project, and the compilation lands with The InItes and Lion Heart closing it out on “Million. ”
