Elephant Man’s “Cool (Remix)” gives Walpixx Riddim (Part. 2) its biggest pull, and Mafio House Production keeps the energy moving with a tight 2012 dancehall set that leans more toward raw party pressure than polished crossover. Around that lead cut, the lineup shifts between hard-hitting local voices and a few more playful turns: Elji’s “Hi, ” Specta’s “On Controle La Zone, ” and the Magic pairing on “Missie On” all ride the groove with different shades of swagger, while Toupi, Jmax, and Def J keep the pace brisk and street-level. The riddim itself has that clipped, percussive bounce you’d expect from early-2010s dancehall, all sharp drum work and enough space for the artists to work their own angle. But it’s Elephant Man’s remix version that hangs over the whole thing, setting the tone before the later cuts start firing back.
