Walla Wiss Riddim – Bankeylus Productions
Walla Wiss Overview
In the late 1990s, dancehall was the heart of many Jamaican parties. The sound systems would set up in open spaces, and crowds gathered to feel the heavy bass and quick rhythms. It was a time when new riddims could take over the dance, and everyone knew the hottest tracks. In 1998, the Walla Wiss Riddim became one of those powerful sounds. The riddim came from Bankeylus Production, known for bringing exciting new flavors to the dancehall scene. The beats were catchy and made for dancing, helping the Walla Wiss Riddim become a favorite for selectors and partygoers. This collection brought together strong artists who each left their mark. Hot Gal, performed by Little Hero, added a smooth yet energetic vibe. Little Hero was already making a name for himself in the reggae world with songs like “God Alone,” which became a big hit later in his career. Man Inna Mi House, sung by Lady Saw, brought her signature boldness to the riddim. Lady Saw is often called the “Queen of Dancehall” and is known for her powerful voice and chart-topping singles, including “Sycamore Tree” and “I’ve Got Your Man.” Ta Ta, by Tanya Stephens, added clever lyrics and a unique style. Tanya Stephens would go on to become one of dancehall’s respected voices, with albums like “Gangsta Blues” and hits such as “It’s a Pity.” The Walla Wiss Riddim, with these songs and artists, was everywhere in 1998. It made people move, and the music still brings back memories of packed dance floors and pure energy. For dancehall fans, that year cannot be remembered without this collection.
