U.t.i Riddim – Mayhem Music

Mayhem Music’s U. T. I Riddim doesn’t try to overwhelm you with a huge cast; it’s a lean four-song dancehall set that keeps the focus on the vibe rather than the lineup. Alto Roar’s “Weh Mi Ago Do” has the kind of rough-edged title and delivery that hints at pure street talk, while Carey Dujon’s “Bottle Edition” feels like the cut with the most immediate personality, the sort of song that would have done damage in a tight session. Machete’s “Hot Bwoy” and Unlimited’s “Home Tonight” round it out with that late-2010s digital dancehall energy, clipped and to the point.
