Twin Flame Riddim – Advokit Productions

Twin Flame Riddim from Advokit Productions sits in that late-2018 dancehall space where the groove is light on its feet but still carries enough low-end to keep the cut moving. The cast is nicely spread out: Kes turns in the smooth, catchy “Love It, ” while Olatunji’s “Thank Mama” pushes the warmer, more heartfelt side of the set. Sekon Sta’s “I Swear” and Marvay’s “Hit De Boy” keep the energy up with sharper patter and a more direct dancehall bite, and the instrumental at the end lets the riddim breathe on its own. It dropped in November 2018, so it lands right in that run of year-end Caribbean releases when producers were packing a lot of personality into compact eight-track projects.
