Tunda Ball Riddim – Gogan Music Production

Back in 2005, when reggae riddims were still carrying plenty of rootsy weight alongside harder dancehall energy, Gogan Music Production cut Tunda Ball with a lean six-song run that keeps the mood warm and sturdy. The rhythm feels grounded and mid-tempo, the kind of one-drop-style framework that leaves room for the singers to work the message without crowding the groove. Bounty Killer’s “Perfect Girl” and Jah Mason’s “No Pain No Gain” give it two strong anchors, while Mad Cobra’s “Seen It In Your Eyes” adds a sharper edge and Brian Bentley and Deputy’s “More Love” pushes the conscious side a little further. “Precious Time” from Legendary Recka keeps the set moving before the instrumental closes things out, and the version track underlines how much of the project lives in the rhythm itself.
