2017 was still a busy year for soca riddim releases, and Triple Hard Wood came in as a tight two-track Numoney Music drop rather than a sprawling compilation. With just G Bolo’s “Jab We Like” and Trap Boss’s “Shungi and Rum, ” the project keeps its focus on party-room energy and fast-moving momentum instead of crowding the frame. The production leans into a lean, driving soca pulse, the kind that leaves room for both chant-style vocals and quick, punchy phrasing. G Bolo’s cut has the sharper hook, while Trap Boss rides the groove with a more playful, toast-heavy approach. It’s a short release, but the arrangement does its job: bright, percussive, and centered on a brisk tempo that never lets the bassline sit still.
